Summer Reading Essay- One paragraph Re-write
Like many of the homosexual men and women in Russia, Amir was born very rich, and would've not supported boycotts in Sochi due to him being so self-absorbed and timid. Since the beginning, Amir was extremely lavish which made him into a very inconsiderate and selfish person . During this time, he had countless servants, and so much money that he could make a pool of bills and swim in it. Amir was insanely spoiled as he rarely did tasks by himself , and habitually relied or blamed his servants for everything. Even his beloved Baba describes his cowardice “A boy who won't stand up for himself becomes a man who can't stand up to anything” ( Chapter 3, Khaled Hosseini) . Baba even admits that Amir wouldn't be able to take over his business in the future as Amir would be too frail to be a exceptional successor. This leads me to believe that Amir would not have supported a boycott of the Olympic games. Amir was not trusted by the single most important person in his life whom he had tried to impress the whole time. If even Baba , through and throughout all the attempts of Amir trying to grab his attention, could not put his full faith in Amir's ability to be a strong leader and a person who wouldn't back down; it clearly shows Amir's lack of extroversion. Even if he believed in so he would have been very silent and wouldn't have taken action himself. At most he would have ordered a servant to voice his personal opinion ; however, Amir would've been too obsessed with his own desires to even care about the problems being shown outside of his own life.
